It works this way;
No two rifles will perform exactly the same with A given loading, it is incumbent on the user to determine through shooting a specific load at a standard distance usually 100 yds and then evaluating the results against other loadings.
What anyone blurts out on the web may just shoot like crap in your rifle, then again it might shoot ok, but there is no way to know without some range time.

Gotta agree. IMHO any offering from a major manufacturer in .243 will work on mule deer. They aren't
that hard to kill. Which round shoots the most accurately from YOUR rifle will be the deciding factor. Personally, I use Winchester XP3's in my .270 because they are both accurate
from my rifle and really fast and stoutly built. The latter trait is important to me more for the elk I hunt than deer however. If all I hunted was deer I wouldn't pay what the XP3's cost.
