Question Long Reach to Trigger on M-96 w/ Boyds stock

I now have a few threads going on my little project...

I took everyone's suggestions from here and ordered the featherweight thumbhole stock for my M-96. I got everything dry fitted- made the bolt cut, open the mag well a little bit to fit the box, and it all looks great.

One thing I noticed- I find it to be a long reach with my finger to the trigger. It's almost to the point where I have to "hook" my thumb in the hole, and open up my grip to reach. Its not really comfortable.

I really enjoy shooting two stage triggers, and I'd like to keep the stock one, but I'll change it if needed.

My questions are- will one of the Bold triggers that Boyds sells sit a little further back, and shorten up the distance that I have to reach? Is there a better trigger that's comparable in cost and available locally that would work?

Are there other options?

Thanks,
-C

I put a cocks on opening kit in my 96 with a single stage trigger, it didn't change the postion of the 2 stage trigger.

corey, you could try thinning out the pistal grip on the stock, i found mine was very proud in that area, mines not the thumb hole but i took out about a 1/4 inch all around that area. by doing so you will find the reach to be a lot easier

The thought did cross my mind, but I'm not confident that I won't screw it up.
