Default Ice report for lake newell, but not what you think!!

-- I am not wondering if there is any ice, for ice fishing

-- but want to launch the boat from the provincial launch

-- weather for Monday is plus 5

-- any information would be greatly appreciated, since we would be coming from red deer

Default Mostly iced over.

I haven't been into the Park yet, but have been around the lake in recent days. It's the better part of 2/3 iced over, only the deeper water out in the middle remains open.

I don't know about ice thickness on Newell, but have seen coyotes running on the ice on the Bow River and Rolling Hills Res.
