Default Badger lake conditions?

Anyone been out to badger lake by Lomond lately? I’ve never ice fished there. Where is the best place for access and any tips and tricks?

I was out there a couple weekends ago. Ice was 24in+ and we drove on.

There are several locations to get on the ice. The boat launch on the west side, place at the northern end and i think there is access on the east side by the canal.
