Default Shotgun components

I asked about primers in the ongoing primer thread, what about lead shot, is it scarce also? #6 in particular?

Lead is still available, just more expensive. Prior to purchasing components last spring, I was paying around $6/box for 410 and 28 gauge skeet loads, but at the prices that I paid last yeat, it is close to $10/box. Then again factory 410 and 28 gauge target loads went from $14 to around $22.

It has to come from a long way to get to the prairies.
Like Ontario or peru.
I always figured someone should buy an old grain elevator and make shot in it.

Western Metals has several sizes of lead shot in stock, including #6.

Lead shot is available from Hummason, $58 / 25 pounds, plus shipping and GST from Ancaster, Ontario.
Our recent club order for 33 bags ended up net $72 / 25 lb bag in Saskatoon.
