LiFePO4 Battery
My understanding is that the cells are all from 3 factories in China? Does this make them all the same? Found this deal, worth it? Looking at the 12ah.

There might be only 3 but the quality control is not the same I suspect for each brand name battery built at them. This was I learnt during my work career dealing with China

The cells are built by only a couple of factories in China, as you mentioned. The BMS (Battery Management System) is what's proprietary to each brand. How much better you believe one BMS is than the other is how you justify buying a Dakota Lithium battery over the one you've linked.

For a few $$ more, Cabela's has a heck of a deal on their 10aH Dakota Lithiums right now. Not sure if this is a "Wild Wednesday" deal of if this is longer term sale.

Cabela's does seem to have either the Dakota 10aH or the similar Marcum Lithium 10ah on sale every 3 or 4 weeks for around $100. The Marcum comes with a charger as well.

I bought the 30Ah version of this battery off Amazon last year. Have used it in a power box to run my sonar + lights + other electronics on the open water and ice seasons. Was cheaper than the Dakota and so far has performed flawlessly. They used to offer a smaller capacity one, but they must be out of stock.
Some of the Amazon brands get poorer reviews, but this one (and the one you linked to, although fewer reviews) was mostly positive. Time will tell if this was a good value, but so far I'm satisfied. Be careful with low temperature charging of LiFePo4 batteries - apparently they don't like being charged below freezing temperatures.

Iam using marcum lithium with good success. I’ve had the 10 amp the last 3 years and bought the 18 and 30 amp from TFO this past Boxing Day when they were 25% off. I mostly like the fact they come with the charging unit. It seems like lithium batteries have to be used a couple of times before they really get their true charge times. Sure do like the weight difference too

I picked up an 18Amp hr from Alberta Lithium for 140.00 so far it has been fantastic. I haven't been able to kill it yet fishing outside in cold temps running my Garmin Livescope for 12Hrs plus.

Piker I also was going to order from Alberta Lithium, but they wanted $40.00 for shipping to our neck of the woods.

I just got a 100AH LiFePO4 battery from Alberta Lithium last week, even with the cost of shipping it was still way cheaper than the next cheapest option I could find (Renogy). Only used it once so far but it delivered over 60AH for me while I was camping and was still going strong. Seems to be well built, it doesn't have the bluetooth battery monitor or heated charging that other brands have but honestly didn't see the need for that, maybe if I was using it in a solar system or as a house battery. Way better than my old 80AH SLA battery, that thing weighed a ton.

This is the one I'm looking at as well - when I contacted them about what to replace my old dual 6V setup with, this is what they recommended. Pricewise, it's more money, but not by a massive amount.
