Default Skunks

Skunks everywhere, in the bush, on the road, in the field and now around the cabin . Six in 4 days at the cabin and another trapper dropped off 2 more so we brought 8 hides home. These 2 were the biggest.

Nice stinker. Ya it's skunk time. I'll be picking up a few next week or 2. Good work Doug.

Yup, just skin it and flesh and stretch. I do have a supply of tanned skunks in the store, with a bunch more on the way.

Default Skunks

Yeah, Marty I have no experience skinning skunks, or the equipment to stretch it. I got it by mistake in a coyote set. I would prefer just to send it whole.

Your trapping coyotes already? How are they looking? A friend of mine shot one Sunday and it was still pretty black on the hide. Figure another week before their ready.

A friend of mine is raising sheep on his farm, last month he lost 2 sheep to coyotes. So I went in October first and set my snares. The first one I caught was alittle red. I知 not really worried about what I make or don稚 make right now. Sure I値l skin it and send it off. But I知 doing as a favour. Coyotes around here are still not fully prime yet. From my experience though the last week of October is when I set all my snares. That痴 when there getting to be prime.

Default Ne ab

Seeing lots of skunks moving between Mallaig and Cold Lake here in NE AB. Buddy has 8 or 10 of them by now.

Gonna start footholding coyotes in a week...hope I don't get too many of these stinkers!
