Default Those we leave behind till next year (let’s see them)

Since hunting season has come to an end for the most part many hunters wonder about next season.

Will you be able to find that buck or bull next season?

What will they become next season with some age?

So do you have an buck or bull you hope to see next season?

This is buck may not be a giant but I see potential in him with the lack of age in his face. He made a lot of appearances on my cam so it may be possible to find him again if he can dodge the cougar I share this location with. He is not the biggest buck I know of but being consistent makes it a reasonable goal to locate him again

Pulled my cams early but they will be back out in late spring. It will be interesting to see what is hanging around my known locations and also see what new areas I find. Looking forward to another season of chasing bush bucks in 2021

Now the worst part waiting lol

Wink

Never folded a tag....best was a 140-150 class 10 point that showed himself once to me and I never took him because my son was coming down for a four say hunt....he was tormented by many 130 class bucks but we never seen this bigger one at all....on average 6 hours a day in the woods...15 different bucks made thier presence....they all walked...let them go to grow.....potential,is really good plus I am pretty much the only one in this area too

This fella harassed me often....two more years buddy

Rattled in a small buck last day of the season. Enjoyed messing with him. Got occupied with that then the season was over. Walking out past legal light... 70 yards away over a small hill....3 legal bull elk....doh. Rather comical. They never even cared I was there. Would have been an under 100 yard shot....oh well. Next year.

This guy was another interesting deer but don’t plan to return to the area. Unfortunately the new ATV rules had guys riding up and down a grown in pipeline about 300yards from this location. Deer movement completely died off except for a few does and small bucks

Just a new factor to consider and pic areas to avoid it

Haha nice one Darren that's a cool picture of a nice big healthy buck. If you got those walking into your yard at nite life's pretty good.

I know, right? it’s a fun opportunity to see what they can tolerate in those situations. How much noise or movement you can do without having them notice you.

I wish I had footage of when this one had a standoff with a red fox. Was so much fun.

Found him on camera 2019 november 30th at noon time, 30 yards from the cabin. He showed up twice this year earlier in the month and then never came back again. Thats a buck i burnt 8 days this season and never saw him again or any other buck for that matter. Later i found cougar tracks, kitty was on property. Hopefully next year he'll come again.

I’m very excited about two young bucks I’ve located. Neither are older than 3.5 and both right around the 160” mark. One is a clean 6x6 with huge upside and the other has all the boxes checked to be something extremely special. Double drops, splits, kickers, inlines and the starts of more trash off the beams - as he sits, he’s a 9x9. It’s asking a lot to hope for two years or more on each of these bucks, but the fingers are crossed.

Had him around all summer and fall ... ghosted me for most of November on the cameras except for a quick flyby one of my cameras the 3rd week of November... laid eyes on him yesterday. He made it, see you next year bud!

This bull was following a herd of 8. Not lots of elk but I was set up on a river crossing that I knew of. When I finally intercepted them one morning it was after it was -16 overnight. A layer of ice formed on the banks of the river that stretched 5 or 6 feet into the river. I watched them approach the crossing and the lead cow took two steps onto the ice, broke through, and turned upstream to find another way with everyone following. My heart sunk as it would have worked perfectly. Try again next year

I will likely be dead before drawing a tag for this guy lol.
The date on this pic was not set right.

It was taken this summer not in 2018.
