Default Cline River Nordegg

Hey im heading to the nordegg area near Abreham lake for the long weekend and have always heard good things about the cline river, any experience? Im thinking it might be good fishing right where the river drains into the lake. Anyone else know of some good trout fishing in that area?

Cheers

You either have to fish it right near the mouth or hike about two hours upstream past the canyon. The canyon stretch is unfishable and will kill you.

Beautiful country, I'm heading there this afternoon.

If you are fishiong where the mouth of the Coral creek comes into the cline river be very carefull scaling down the cliff as it is wet and slippery. I always used a brown rooster tail with a gold spinner blade there and usually caught some cutts between 2-4 pounds. I would check the regs and see if that is still legal to fish there, best to be safe reg wise!!

have fun
