Crazy cool deer for sure!!!! 191" just on the left side. I thought I saw it has a 151" typical frame and 178" of nontypical points.

I guess most of the trophy hunters might as well just hang up their bows because this buck will be hard to beat.

I think I would let a monarch like the Brewster buck walk by just out of respect.

Not to derail this thread b.but there more than few of these deers running around. Some of the high fenced area all through the states have bucks escape, this might not be one ,but there bucks that are real trophies that just made it over there fences.

I don't know how some guy could pay 40000 grand to shot a buck at his feeding spot every morning. And then move 400 yards and shot another .I once past up a 180 to 190 solid typical buck I hunted hard to find out the morning I was going to shoot him that he was one of the camp owners pets, that lived there year round on his lawn.I walked up 10 feet on him 400 yards from the house and then realize this deer is tame.He never moved, flick of the tail just stood there and looked at me.hell that's not hunting.I may as well go pay some cattle farmer to shoot a couple head of beef.

This deer could be just a freak of good genes and somehow he grew real big,but BC now put high fence deer on there list of trophy's,i could be wrong ,but I think I am sure on what I read.

BC and PY have set standards of fair chase, high fence animals are not eligible. SCI does allow high fence animals in their book with an indication they are such.

From what the word is this is not a high fence deer.

I would disagree that deer has good genes. It just got lucky. Look at its frame, that's not the kind of frame a deer farm breeds for. Take away the non-typical points...it's a dink. Amazing deer nonetheless , but not pen raised
And you are wrong about B&C

right on, awesome deer.

“Invariably, as is the case with this buck, the hunter is a “regular” person to whom something extraordinary has happened,”

“As whitetail hunting’s top historian, Whittington says, I’ve always been a huge fan of Ohio’s “Hole in the Horn” buck, the 328 2/8-inch non-typical found dead in Ohio in 1940,” said Whittington. “He ranks No. 2 among all wild bucks ever, second only to the 333 7/8-inch Missouri Monarch found dead in 1981. The Brewster buck rivals their gross scores, which is amazing. And he has a tall, well-balanced typical frame that shows off a stunning array of non-typical points. In my mind he’s the best hunter-taken whitetail ever, and his measurements support that view.”

Absolutely a great NT Whitetail buck. The Holy Grail. I want one that scores just a little bit higher. Can always dream.

Why is it amazing that private leases and zero access produces big deer?

So I just got off the phone with a good friend from Kentucky he lives right close to the border of Kentucky and Illinois. He works in Illinois and his work site is only about 10 miles from where this giant was taken. He told me that this deer was definetly a free range deer. According to him it sounds like this deer is believed to have been living on Wildlife Preserves Land which there is no hunting allowed on. Sounds like this deer ventured off the Wildlife Lands and the lucky hunter was in the right place at the right time. Will be interesting to read the story when it gets published.

This explains where he snuck out of,deer like this would be talked about if seen in years before so this hunter was just at the right place when it all came together,so far no trail cam pics .That wildlife Preserves lands may hold another like him, highly doubt it ,but you never know if the area hasn't been hunted.

For deer to get this big they need 3 factors, genetics ,good food and age and it all comes together.Plus if he had high hormonal levels this will cause this to happen and high testosterone levels can be passed down through genetics if they live close by for long period of time. So who knows what's kicken around out that way.
