She almost didnt fit out of the hole, had to pull her by the head to get her out, got the battle wounds on my fingers to prove it lmao. It was a perfect hookset right in the corner of the mouth, single hook with a smelt hooked through the back. Was surprised she didnt cut my line, I wasnt using a leader. But im sure she was an old fish, no front teeth and no long "canine" teeth, just the short small teeth along the sides of the jaw.
Nice Fish!

Pike lose their teeth at this time of year

Yea, you missed it, I posted the length after a few posts, she was 38 inches long!!! given her weight a "normal" fish shoulda been around 45-47" long lol

I was at my spot on the south west side and then moved up to the inlet... then over to the outlet.

I caught a pike 8lbs at 26 feet deep.
I was going for burbs...

I was in a black car pumping country music LOL

I don't know if the water is still brought in from Park lake but I know they use to fill Nich Sheran from Park Lake and I am pretty sure that is how the pike and perch got in there.

Nice gator by the way. They get pretty big pretty quick in the trout ponds.
hahaha I knew it as soon as I saw the post. The give-away is the cigarette buts in the ice and the manitoba maple.. place gets hit hard, but can be fun at times. I have seen a few big dirtys swimming around there over the years.. just a matter of time before someone got one. T

Nice fish, congrats.
