Wicked bud. Nice to see alberta back in the books. And yes, leave the Conrad boys alone they go to where the big ones are and put in their time. I was a record chaser for a good portion of my life and you give up a lot of other things in pursue of the record fish. Never got the one myself but seen them in the early 80's laying on the ice and I was ruined for 15 years after that. After awhile I realized I was fishing for something that didn't even exist. That's when the aqua views came out.

Yeah, it appears not to be yet. I'm skeptical to given the types of constant fake accounts on here but if this is true, oh yeah!!! That would be sweet.

If it was at the AFGA awards why so long to get it listed as the new record.
If it's for real then I am sure happy for the guy and I also learned maybe I should be jigging a len Thompson. In any event that is one awesome fish and a catch of a lifetime.

In the 70's jigging Len Thompson spoons was how 95% of the people fished.

Must be an Alberta thing then... remember as a kid Len Thomson spoons jigged through the ice. Go out on lakes like utikima and such almost all were jigging spoons. Did I post on sask outdoors or something?

Wow what a beast. Heard rumours but no pics. Ty to the peeps who said good words about us. Yes a little jelly about this beast but then again there's always bigger out there and gives a guy the drive to chase after it. 😀😀. If it does go threw as a world record threw IGFA it would likely be a tie.
Hope you get a good taxidermy guy and this fish doesn't go to waste. Was tough finding someone to do our 25.2 Advanced taxidermy in Toronto FYI .
Sorry haven't bin logged into this forum for quite some time. I'll try and keep up to date now 👊👊👊.

I actually did have it done. It was hard but found someone to do a skin on job which makes it look beautiful i will post pictures of it tomorrow. It did come out to 11.5 kg on the scale idk where the mess up happened but it does come out to be 25 lbs 3 oz. But i agree with you fishinggeek we both snagged great fish and we should be proud of them and yes there are bigger ones foresure. And thank you to everyone who has posted on here its just awesome hearing from many different people. Keep up the posts!!!
