Athabasca area camp/bird hunt/hike suggestions

Hi all. New in northern area. Hoping to find some guidance on where I could tent up for the weekend and hike w the dog - shotgun and birds would be great.
Not looking for your secret cherry spot, just some ideas on decent places to maybe commando camp and take the dog for some bush walks and bring along the bird gun.

There is agood campgroung north of Athabasca, I think it is called Richmond Hill. Good luck.
