Default Cold Lake area newb

Hey guys, not looking for you to give up a fishing spot, just looking for some direction.

Just moved back to AB from Yellowknife, and I haven't got a clue where to start drilling holes.

I'm thinking Marie Lake this week, but can't find anything about ice conditions.

Any pointers?

Yep head down to Frenchman's bay, go out in front of the ski hill a couple hundred yards or so, there should be others out there, spark up a conversation and see what's working.

Yes, sorry you were referring to Marie. Don't fish it.

I need to venture out there too. Never caught a laker ever before and can't wait. Any tips would be nice. I can't wait to fish in water near 100' deep.

Why don't fish it? Seemed like a good lake this summer?
