Default Distracted driving?

Personally, I'm bad for it. What about you? What is your worst distracting habbit behind the wheel?

Looking at stuff, thinking "that'd be a nice picture!". Or fumbling with CDs/the radio. Though I don't need to take my eyes off the road to change the station..

personally, I'm bad for texting. I do it all the time, getting better at it. I try to only text at red lights now... better, but not perfect.

Default Distracted Driving

1st Place- having a 3 almost 4 year old daughter and a 8 almost 9 year old son sitting beside me in a Rc 1/2 ton.
Do I need to say any more about this sibling rivalry issue? Just did 2700 km vacation. Man I need a vacation from that.

2nd place- looking in the fields for deer, moose, elk or whatever.

I drove through dinosaur prov park and instead of looking at the scenery I was automatically looking for a deer or pronghorn to be standing there amongst it all. Maybe even a rattler.

You can take the game out of the hunter but not the hunter out of the game I say!

I would say I handle it all very well, I've been driving for 23 years and have been in the ditch more than once in my youth. I would say I learned how to handle a truck through the school of hard luck. And stupididty!

I'm not stupid any more. Something happened when I turned 31.

My girlfriend noticed when we stopped at a red light in Edmonton that all vehicles around us (about 6) had a driver that was talking or texting on their phone except for 1!

That was scary...

I had a fun experience a while ago.... driving alongside a cop who was looking at his computer while driving the Deerfoot. I'm surprised he wasn't having a few shots of vodka as well since laws obviously don't apply to him.

looking for wildlife for sure. robin just loses her mind driving with me. i keep reminding her that i drive more miles in a month than most people do all year and i havent hit anything yet. not talking on the phone is going to be an adjustment, but i refuse to text while driving. i have 3 kids driving now and theyve been warned.....if i catch em texting while driving that their phone WILL fit in their nose. if i catch em drinking and driving, i will punish them worse than the law ever could.

It's not bragging if it's true.

Good conversation.

Just today, I saw an accident that had to be a) sleep related or b) distraction c) medical.

You only go off a perfectly straight road for one of those reasons, providing mechanical failure hasn't happened!

2 weeks until the the laws take affect. Are you ready to change? or just don't care and will take the $172 ticket?

looking for animals on the side of the road, and talking on my phone, for sure.
I do a lot of business while driving from one site to another , and it is not good!

On my way home there is a cute chick in tight shorts who has a windshield crack repair tent set up alongside the road. VERY distracting!

You don't have "checking crops" on the list. I drove into the ditch the other day while admiring my neighbor's wheat…

Haha lol!

Thou shalt not covet thy neighbors cereal....

My biggest distraction is my playful wife, always seems to yank that nose or ear hair when there is a semi oncoming
