Default Ice on Buck Lake

This is the first Christmas that my family will spend in Buck Lake area so I need some help.
How thick is the ice, is it ice fishable?
I will use NW access to the Lake from campground ...What fish one should target now Whites in shallows, Wallay's, Pike?
Any help will be appreciated.

Andrew
