Default Father's Day Fishing...from hook to plate :) *pic heavy*

Just thought I would share a memorable Father's Day....this one was a bit solemn as its my Dad's first Father's Day without my Mom who passed on October 24th last year after a battle with cancer....Was a great day that Dad, My Son, and I got to spend together....

Dad and Lad rods....

Son's first on the day

I even caught one on the fly!

Fighting a hog

Not ready yet....

Testing the new camera...

Another nice one...

The days bounty

Time for cleaning!

Measure of success...

Good eats!!

Awesome! Haven't seen a stringer of eyes like that in a long time. That's great, I remember being the same age as your son with the same stringer of fish me and my pa caught. Fond memories.

IB-OMG how could you kill the fish!

I agree BG....I haven't had a stringer like that in along time myself....in 2 years I might have another chance at it

Remember I have said we release 99% of the fish we catch?.....this is the 1% that were unlucky.....

Good time had by all!

I was just up in Northern Sask, and we ate our limit of walley every day for a week. YUM! (in deep fried fish crisp)

Actually this is my Step-Dad he is a really great man, and a great role model for those guys who marry a single Mom. I was a lucky kid in that I had 2 Dads, both who are/were avid outdoorsmen. My Biological Father passed away a couple years ago...

Boys need Dads to show them the ropes in all facets of life....and fishing is a pretty dang important one

Thanks for the kind comments guys.

I'm not kidding here, when I looked at the pic of the raw fillets in the stainless steel bowl, something triggered in my brain and I could smell the fish!!!!

Congrats Lefty. I cannot think of a better way for 3 Generations to spend Father's Day. ( Or any day as a matter of fact)

NHO.
