lokking to do some spring fishing(edmonton area)

hey all, just wondering if anyone could point me in a direction of a lake,(in the edmonton area within an hour 100km)that i can fish this time of year. i just got a new boat and i wanna try her out before the long weekend. everything i know of around here is closed right now. i need to fish.
