Default Longbow

Any of you trad archery know what I have inherited here? I’ve only heard really good things about chekmate bow but can’t find any info on the value? It is a beautiful bow I can’t wait to stick some foam !!!

Used to be a very well known bowmaker and made good stuff. Buy some arrows and have at ‘er.

Check Mate is still making bows based of Vancouver Island. I have a Beaver Creek, got it at Trophy book a few years back. They used to make compound bows too. I bought my very first compound back in 1983. It was a split limbed Chek Mate Squire II?

I have a Beaver Creek as well. He is living in Port Alberni AFIK

A real artist, for sure .

My go to hunting bow is a chek-mate crusader. 57#@ 28 in.
