Default Any other Motorcyclists?

Forgive me if there is another thread on this, I didn't see it. Any one else on the the forum ride? I've been riding about 15 years now, started on a Shadow Aero 750, traded for a Firestorm 1000, then had kids and figured it would be best to stay off the street decided to go dual sport and picked up a street legal XR650R, now taming it down a bit and got a DRZ400S for dual sport, a ZR-7S for touring and picked up an old ZX750R for days I still feel young.

Anyone else ride?

20 yrs on 2 wheels now. Started on an old Honda nighthawk 450 then kicked a leg over a friends Harley and instantly realized why people spend so much on them. Now have a Softail custom with a stage 2 stroker. Picked it up 3 yrs ago out of Miami when the dollar was at par. Previous owner put 15K into it including the motor & I got it for under 10. Riding is 2 wheel therapy even though it seems everyone is out to kill me

An Ultra Classic is still on my wish list. I never used to be a Harley fan but the older I get the more they are growing on me. Especially the comfort factor.

45 years ago my father brought home a 50cc handle bar folding mini bike. Hooked! First street bike mid 70's Honda 360J. Then Susuki Gs550L, then Honda CB900 Custom, then Honda ACE 1100 twin, then brand new 2007 Harley Davidson Road King Custom. Not selling/trading it. My last bike. Jake and Elwood Blue with wide whitewall tires and spoked wheels with over 60,000 km on it and it still looks like a new bike.

Along the way I've had trail bikes too... Suzuki Enduro 250? Honda trail 250 and Honda 400R trail thumper/rib breaker. Then there was the 1977 Honda Super Sport 400 with 4 carbs, 4 into one exhaust that would turn your head!!! Definitely the coolest bike ever! !

Riding has and always will be part of my life! Just hope it doesn't end it!

Don't ride much any more, but I still like to feel the wind in my face once or twice a year.

I never was into the bike scene, just a lover freedom and of old school things.

My ride is an XS1100, circa 1982. I have no interest in the biggest and baddest, I just like to ride my old girl.

Over 40 years on two wheels. I have owned Suzuki, Honda, Yamaha, Harley, and I now ride a BMW R1200ST. The BMW is by far my favorite and my Harley was the biggest disappointment. There is nothing like a twisty highway through the mountains on a bike with good handling.
As well as street riding, I raced motocross for a few years, and did quite a bit of off road riding.

Yep I ride. When ever I can.

Been on two wheels for about 37yrs.

Current ride is 2003 Suzuki Intruder VL1500LC. Like the cruiser now. Have had a mixed bag of rides from a ZX-7R to old school iron (Honda CB650 Custom) and have ridden touring bikes as well.

For me now its cruiser style.

Yup. 1976 first bike. Age 8. Kawasaki KD100. Then raced mx 79-85 against Rollerball on Suzuki RM's 125, 250. I was fast. He was faster. On / off bikes for 40 years. Still ride mx bikes. Fix up old bikes for hobby. I will always be a motorcyclist. Just scares me on the street, when I pull up to a stop light, and a big semi pulls behind me about 5' from rear wheel. I try to stay off the street.

I like the back roads with my fly rods or a gun on the KLR 650 or my TW200.

Once a biker, always a biker. I bought my first Honda MBX 50 when i was 16. I mowed a lot of lawns and washed a few trucks to pay for that beauty. I've had a few since then. My first accident was with my Suzuki VStrom 500m from my house. I just put it in to 4 th gear when a whitetail buck jumped out of the ditch. I hit it square in the middle! The first thing the guy coming from the front said was " Holy $&@$!! Did you see that huge rack on the buck you just hit? I walked away from that one with a bruised big toe. The bike and buck did not make it. I now have a Yamaha Super Tenere 1200 (dual sport) a Yamaha FZ8 and a Yamaha R1.

Rode dirt bikes through my youth, then got a GSX-R 600 about 10 years ago or so. Rode it up till last year when I switched over to a Victory Vegas. The switch renewed my enjoyment of riding. The 600 was a great bike, but less than ideal for the straight roads in the Lloydminster area. Picked up a 250 Ninja for the wife last summer, she took a rider safety course and is loving the open road on 2 wheels.

Have a 2004 Suzuki VL800, I ride it a bit but not enough, so It is up for sale on kijiji, and have not had one bite.

But I do like the feel of wind in my face, and cruise on a nice hot day.

Yamaha pw80 was the first bike, age 7.

Next came a Honda xr200 - old school bike that never died.

Xr400 came at about 15 years of age or so.

Currently on an xr650r but patiently waiting for the 2017 Husky 701 Enduro or KTM 690 Enduro R with the updated LC4 that went into the Duke this season.

Hell yah!

Quit riding in 1986 for several reasons and if I got back into it I would go back riding the bikes did back then - America and English iron.
You won't be seeing me on a bike any time soon however......

Count me in.I presently ride a 2012 CVO Street Glide. Love the long distant adventures. One of the best rides my wife and I have been on is the 101 from Victoria harbour down the coast to Calf. But I must agree you have to watch out for the other drivers, they love to cut you off.

My father brought home a Honda Z50 when I was 4. By that summer I could back it out of the baby barn and me and my buddies would ride on the side roads to the trail system and go, one rule was I could only go of someone was home "to answer the phone in case something happens". Those days are long gone lol. First street bike was an old 84 Honda magna 500. Then an 88 Yamaha virago 750. These days I have a Victory Vegas 106ci.

35 years for me. Started as a motocrosser. Current rides are a Honda VTX 1300 to tour with my wife on her Yamaha Vstar 1100, and I also have a Kawasaki KLR650 for the trunk road and other "adventure" tours.

Was riding since for about 15 years. Sold all my bikes a few years ago when I had kids. Too many distracted drivers and a few close calls. Will probably get back on once the kids are older.

Got into amateur racing in Ontario, was a blast. If I go back will probably only do track days as it is a lot safer than riding on the streets.

Started dirt biking last fall with a Yamaha yz250f bored and stroked to 310 with a bunch of other upgrades.

Now I'm wanting to get a bike for the street, nothing crazy, just fun to ride.

Glad to see so many other riders. I used to ride sport bikes (zx6's) but recently picked up a softail slim. Used to hate the Harley's but they grow on ya. Much more comfortable.

There needs to be an AO ride/meetup.

Also, where are the pics!!!

Ill get some up soon.

I have a 1989 Yamaha TDR 250. Don't ride it as it's rare and don't want to wreck it.

Started out on dirt and am thinking of looking for a dual sport next year. Yamaha TW 200 would be great I think. I have a young son and too many hobbies but in a few years I'll get him a PW 50 (he will be 3) and start riding again for sure.

I started riding motorcycle in the sixties, bought my first Harley in the seventies and still have it. Due to family and finances there were years I didn't ride. In '09 I bought a new Harley decker and this last fall I had 104k on it. In October I guess I hit a soft spot on a gravel road and rolled it. It appears to be a write off and if I could get the insurance company to deal with me, I would go and deal on another new decker.

Default Recent Baja tour

My dad and I recently did a trip that started from Ft Mohave (south of Vegas) to Cabo and return this past Jan. What a ride...can't wait to do it again.

Did a trip to the East Coast from Ontario, first day I completed the Iron Butt Saddle Sore 2000km in 24 Hours on a 2004 Kawasaki Z1000. From Ontario to Halifax, NS with a little detour in the middle. All I had was headphones and padded bicycle shorts under my gear.

Used to take 3 weeks off work once a year, jump on my bike and pick a destination and disappear. Then I got married and had kids.

Again, Cabot Trail

Been riding since I was 16, 22 years now off and on. Started off with Shadow, moved to V-Max’s now I ride a ZX10R. I will keep that one as a fun bike and get something reasonable when the market picks up. Rent Harley’s and do a 2 day trip with my Dad every other year.
