Default Best spots in Calgary city limits to fish.

Hey everyone, I am a novice angler and I of the 2 months there has only been one one day I haven't been fishing. I have been driving out to assorted lakes and ponds but it's getting pricey on gas going out of the city every day..... Other than the Glenmore reservoir where is a good fishing spot in the city limits?

The Bow River is a world famous trout fishery, and while it's not easy to learn how to fish it, it produces some nice fish. You could try the Elbow River too. Is there a reason you've only tried lakes and ponds (as per your post)?

Could always check out Carburn Pond in the SE. go there and you can get the best of both... the Bow and the pond. Pond apparently holds Perch and pike.

It’s quite tranquil too, especially in early morning or late evening.
