Default .22 shot shells

Anybody ever use .22 shot shells? Thought I might pick some up for my rifle and see how they work on pigeons. Anyone know how far they are good up too? Thanks

Use them in a Browning & you'll void warranty.

Lack so much power you could likely shoot mice in a house & do little damage.

Might make the wife cranky though....

they are ok for very short range. like....VERY short. the only real advantage i see is that there isnt enough jam to go through the ceiling of the quonset if thats what you are looking for. the shot is about the size of fine ground pepper.

Agreed.

A friend of mine bought some years ago & from 20' the shot wouldn't even punch through a pop can.

Yes they work good for mice indoors. As for outside, they cant break a beer bottle at 5 yrds. waste of effin money, after a few shots I was very very dissapointed I bought 2 boxes good for excitement around the campfire though lol

great for mice and rats inside buildings, they dont go through drywall or glass (unless you are real close), pigeons if they are roosting but but carry a few 24gr with you to finnish them off, if they are airborne dont even bother.

not true. Imagine the extreme collisions happening in a rifled barrel when shooting pellet shot. Horrible way to treat a gun.
