Default Wabamun today!

Well, went out today to Wabamun for a few hours by Seba Beach. My 7 year old boy caught a 9, 10, and a 13 pounder! His biggest yet! Funny thing I had heard on the forum a few days ago. It was mentioned about an old native belief when a raven or crow flies across the lake, the fish will bite. We were there about 45 minutes or so and NO bites. Then, a raven flies right in front of us and BANG!!! 4 fish in 20 minutes! including the bigger one. Then another lull in the action until we saw another raven cross the lake. Then BANG! Another fish brought up the hole!

I still can't see into it too much, but it sure is a coincidence eh?

Anyone else hear about this folklore stuff?

Cool

never knew it was a legend I am a follower of the solunar tables and noticed the flight of crows across the lake coincided with the beginning and end of the prime times now I dont use the table I use the crows and ravens instead thank you for the confirmation on my thoughts

Same here, we only got 4 pike (Biggest being 5) and 2 perch. Lost a white. A good day, but slow. And it was pretty cold on the hands.
