While your there, make a stop at Beaver hill. Biggest whites you will ever see in your life time.

Default Dodds

Dodds and Black Nugget are the same. The summer fishing there was awesome when I was a kid but it was a long drive in the buckboard to get there. I have tried it a couple times in the last few years and got skunked. Its close enough for me to have a go at through the ice if anyone else is interested. I suspect it will be pretty slow and I will need someone to tell lies to to kill the time.

keep us posted! small chance I might make it out there this weekend, but been skunked my only 2 trips out there in the summer... Heard stories of some really big ones coming outta there, and saw some big ones on the fishfinder in the summer when I took my boat out. Its amazing how sharp the drop offs are there. depth change from 2 feet to 20 feet over only a 5 foot span. I'm sure a couple big ones lurk somewhere!

Well we met OrigiNL Cast there and had one great time, Thanks for joinging us on our recon mission.
The ice was thick and there was very little snow, making the walking trecherous. After a quick set up we procceded to fire up the oven and our chef cooked burgers, perogies and some moose sausage (Thanks Brian). No one went away hungry. The lake is quite small and its hard to find a spot that has any depth to it, but we settled for 12-15 feet. The water was too murky to use the camera so we went by feel. All in All the day was fun and the guys had a blast.

Memory is a little foggy as to the fish count......(kidding). I think OrigNL cast may have caught one or two? There seems to be only smaller pan fryers in there according to our research.

Default Good friends, good food, warm tent

Had a great time as well. The afternoon was slooooooooooowwww. Should have kept the sausage. Ended up nibbling on the bait on the drive home. BTW, I am going to be taking taxi's from now on. Hope to see you at your derby in Feb. Do you still need any prizes?
