Default Anyone seeing any bull elk??

I set up my trail cams about mid June. Usually we end up seeing lots of bull elk on cams. This year we've gotten one spiker in almost 2 months. I can't hunt elk until Nov 30th, but my brother and the rest of my family can. I'm just wondering if anyone has any input on where they are. We have lots of cows just no Bulls.

I know that, just wondering why we don't have any groups on cams. In past years we usually have lots!! I think they're getting smarter

If the cows are there the Bulls won't be, they will be close.

Are you in farmland? There might a pea field or
Something drawing the Bulls there for now, if you have cow elk you will have Bulls really soon.

There one year and gone the next.

Thats elk hunting...you will find some areas hold them more consistently but its never a sure thing. Gotta go find them! Its not real hard to tell when you are in the right area...they leave a lot of clues.

Well we have plenty of cows in the area. I'm hoping that once the rut picks up the cows will bring them in. I would like to see my youngest brother get an elk this year. He has never harvested an elk. If I could, I would give him my suffield tag but I can't so general elk it is for him

That's awesome tell him congrats. Big bull??

I have another question, am I allowed going out and calling/filming for my hunting partners even though I cannot possess a valid tag. I remember someone saying that you cannot participate at all in a hunt if you don't have a tag. I won't be hunting just calling and filming

I saw a stud of a bull with 7 cows yesterday @ 9:30am on the edge of a alfalfa field by ponoka. Only was 9c out & he was talking up a storm to boot. Blew my mind

Wasn't anything to do with what he was doing. It was where he was that made me rub my eyes twice. Absolutely a tank of a bull to boot.
