Just my opinion I'm no expert but if you hunt the same stand from light to light everyday or every other day they will pattern you! and after that long say 8-12 hours in the stand your scent will be all over the place with the different wind changes that happen from morning to evening. I would go in the evening one night then the morning the next maybe the afternoon the next and mix up the rotation. This will keep the deer guessing and also give you the best chance to hunt the wind. Great deer i really hope you get this guy!! best wishes

Whatever method you chose I would start getting out there to track that Bruiser. Those monsters don't come around often in a lifetime. I would make that Buck my primary focus.

Great deer!!
I see a 183-185 But a front shot would help.
The score is not nearly as important as the hunt IMO.

Shooter

I would stay totally clear of the area and that cam, maybe watch from a distance,as in 500-1000 yards if possible..you already know he's there, leave him be.
Scout from home on Google Earth, identifying likely bedding and feeding areas, and the corridors of cover in between.Figure out why he's showing up on your cam when he does, where he's likely coming and going from.
If you can observe him from a distance, all the better.....other than that,be patient, wait for the perfect wind to approach your setup, and your first sit might be your best chance to tag him?
Pressure a deer of that age and smarts and he'll become a ghost pdq.

That's a great deer in anybodys books!I think he is a super buck and I hope you get a chance to take him.Who cares what others on the forum think what he scores.I don't recall seeing all these people posting pics of a bigger deer yet this season. As far as the bait comments go it isn't against the law to put out bait to get pics and I don't see a treestand or blind anywhere.Best of luck to ya and thanks for posting

Wow that's a cool method I like the idea of being able to spend a good chunk of time there I can't get that Damm deer out a my head even at work all I do since I saw him is run scenarios in my mind lol I guess what they say is true if it has tits, tracks or tines it's trouble lol.

You do realize the OP asked for our opinions on score....

Also don't pressure that buck, scout from a distance if possible with your binos, keep the wind on your side even at a distance . That deer will become a ghost if he busts you or feels pressure.

No. As stated, 170+ , not 190... Not to detract. It is a beauty.

Default 180+

That is a 180+ deer all day long. Weak on the G-4's, but those incredible brow's from pic #2 more than make up for it. Exceptional beam length, and with a main frame like that, the mass is always greater than expected....by no means does that buck look light in the antler. A few deductions, but nothing too serious by what the pictures tell us. Good luck! The hardest part is actually finding a deer of that caliber, I hope you can connect. Be very careful, as one field error will forever alter a deer like that's pattern. Great deer.

Great advice.
And congrats on getting to hunt the big bugger! Best of luck hoping to see field pics. 👍👍👍

The main beams tell the story, something the velvet can't exaggerate. I think this buck is bigger than some people think.

Awesome buck!!! In my opinion there is 4 levels of deer.
1. Bucks
2. Good bucks
3. Awesome bucks
4. Monsters
You definatly have a level 3 deer here, he is awesome. I count 180 inches gross. He could me a true monster or level 4 deer next year but I wouldn't take my chances, give him a meat missile!!!
Good luck.

Great deer and thanks for sharing the pic's. Most cam pic's of bucks of this calibre usually are held close to the chest!!! And not too many lay eyes on them.

Scores are for football. Great deer all around, shooter for sure

sept 1-7 is still summer pattern. After that, good luck. Watch him one or two days, then setup and hunt as soon as the wind is steady and perfect. As little disturbance as possible, watch him bed so you know if/where it's safe to setup. Go alone, be quiet, scent free, etc all the usual stuff. He did not get that big by getting used to people.

I would guess 190s gross. It's and outstanding buck. Awesome frame, heavy, would be very surprised if the gross score is lower than 190.
