Default new personal best
well, I hit my walleye spot once again. had a pretty decent evening, 1 decent pike and a dozen walleye. 8 on the fly to 4 on the lure this time. Id just released one walleye, it hadnt even swam away yet, I tossed out my fly 10 feet from shore and thought it got slammed by a big pike. the line was burning off the reel then the fish hit the surface and I saw the size and the glowing eyes in the light from my headlamp. got a wee bit excited, but kept my cool, I didnt want to lose this one. after a long and crazy fight I managed to net my new personal best fish on a flyrod, and my best walleye on a flyrod. not bad after less than 2 weeks flyfishing for them and on a fly I just tied today. 10.25 pounds. quite a rush, the 8 weight rod was doubled right over the whole time got some pics and put her back to grow bigger for next time.





now to catch a bigger one on the flyrod!

I use this chart, just a couple quick measurements on the tarp so you dont have to stress them by hanging them.

For a guy who use to catch big big Pike and Sturgeon, now to catching girly fish in B.C., and river eye's. What's happening?

Just given ya the gears - jealousy is a mean b&$@h.
