Just looking for a solid answer on closure for falmead lake and the canal into it.
Does it even close being an unlisted lake ?

Unlisted lakes open all year and limits are that of the region that it is in. Go fishing. There are several like that out there as well as some open all year you can fish.

I thought you had to treat them like lakes in the area, that would mean I think limit is 3 over 63 and open May 8 best to check with F&W

There are lakes open all year that are listed, some that are not. It is in the regs that if not listed they are open all year. Limits are the general limits of the zone that it falls. It has been that way for many years. Read the regs carefully and you will find all kinds of not listed and open all year spots. Once the ice is off start open water res fishing.

If it's unlisted it falls under general regs for the area. May 8.

It's amazing how many people do not know the regs outside of the places that are actually listed in the guide. Every lake is not on there and if you read a little you will see that they are open all year in PP1 and the limits are listed which are the same as the ones for the zone. get out there and go fishing before May 8 if you do not see it in the listing as they are good to go. You may also catch fish down south that are not listed in the chart as well. It doesn't mean you can keep them all either (which I have heard of by the way) but you must adhere to this paragraph below for size and qty.

C. Default regulations for PP1 Lakes, Reservoirs and Ponds not included under (A) or (B) and for fish species not mentioned at a listed lake,
Open all year – Walleye limit 3 over 50 cm; Pike limit 3 over 63 cm; Perch limit 15; Lake Whitefish limit 10; Burbot limit 10; Trout limit 5; Mountain Whitefish limit 5 over 30 cm; Bait allowed.
