he sure does have something to hide. in my opinion, he is the king of mule deer hunters in alberta and doesnt want the whole world zeroing in on his areas. it isnt in a place where you have to know someone or pay up for access, and is hunted by others. if it became public knowledge, it would ruin the area in short order.

Nice, get a grip what floats your boat might not be what floats someone elses. Then to insinuate they must have something to hide? Maybe he wants to hunt just because he can? There are lots of guys out there that do real well and don't feel the need to brag up there kills, they want to be left alone and I don't blame them.

I don't hunt deer, and I would not even speculate on what I would do. I do know that I am by nature a quiet person and I would not want to go through the crap that comes with recognition. Money can do funny things so I won't out and out say that I would keep quiet, but I'm pretty sure it would be a good bet. A big part of my good time outdoors is being alone so my hunting and fishing spots stay with me, not to hoard the game but to preserve my solitude.

this thread is an example of why guys dont mind sending us pics. a hundred guys begging to see.....but they were sent on the condition they would not be forwarded. my word is good. when someone sends me pics and asks that i keep them private, thats how they stay. sometimes i am told i can show them but not send them. heck, there are several guys on this forum that have sent me their pics. i wish they would post here for all to see, but a lot of guys just dont want the headache that goes with it.

if you ever make it down this way, the gibsons is always on ice and i can show you some things that will make your eyes pop.

The srutiny, that comes with shooting a WR would be scary only to those who have something to hide ! i dont blame them either !

We've never had a problem with people showing up where we hunt !

The king of mule deer hunting as it stands right now is Cody Robbins or Randy Ulmer, in N.A

The king of mule deer hunting in Alberta...well the title cant go to a unnamed guy, who can't prove the legitamicy of his kills, or scores.....Just my opinion... I'd gladley vote one of the many members who posted on here as king !

back to my phone, which is on fire right now !

Of course you have never had Ny problem with people showing up. They don't get permission. I don't understand why you are getting so wound up over all of this. Really what do you gain or loose from this deer??? To me it sounds Like you are scared there is one that beats yours.

Too bad this went sideways it was an awesome thread. Now the pictures of big Ab mules have stopped rolling in, should have the last 4 odd pages deleted.

well these shy guys can do what they please with their trophies, and i don't think anyone here is worried about having their own records broken, we are here because we are alberta hunters who love big alberta mule deer, we like to see them and pat the guys on the back who kill them, i don't see jealousy or greed here of any sort....all of us on this thread!, nice to know we apparently have a couple new world records.....if true then it just boggles the mind why alberta doesn't get the recognition for such incredible animals and the hunting community can't enjoy them either...and if you shot one Justin don't kid us...we'd all know about it in nano seconds

same guy who started it ruined it, i bet the shy owners of these apparently two new world records are thrilled about the chatter, holy crap, end of day i think most here realize they are still just deer lol...just animals we like to hunt not the air we breath

I can fully understand not entering them and keeping them quiet. Finding good spots to hunt is getting nearly impossible and the greed that comes from the outfitting community wrt shooting big animals is tremendous. Heck, some of the guys on this thread have gone so far as to publicly advertise a WTB 200" mule deer. And you want these new big buck hunters to disclose everything? Not surpirsed at all...

Agreed, to the average joe albertan, yes. To an outfitter it is their "air" alright. Sad really.
