Default Cold Lake East Side

Can you access the east side of Cold Lake north of Garnett's any other way other than the marina & the provincial park. Is there a way to get there from the ski hill area. If so has anybody fished that area and what are the ice conditions like?

There is access by the river but I would imagine the ice would be way to thin there to drive on... Especially this year. It's also quite the drive to get around over there. Probably another 35-40 mins from Cold lake to loop around the lake to the access spot.

I would not attempt to drive on at the cold river. I was there two weeks a go and she was wide open.

Thx... Just thought there may have been a spot to come on somewhere roughly halfway between Garnett's and the river. Doesn't take long to sled there from the provincial park. Just curious if anyone has fished along that side this winter?
