Finally installed one of these on my bow (just a cheapy from cabelas). Im curious, how do they effect arrow flight? I think i need to retune my bow now. And what would be the best way to install it? How far from the string should i put it?

You are correct... the term we use is "Barely touching" after a 100 or so shots the 300+ FPS string slaming it will likely move it again... bring it back to "Barely Touching" and retorque..

If the string stop effected your tune...your bow was likely only border tuned at best...[Example nock point too high/low].so simply re-tune and enjoy the benefits of a string stop!!!
