You might try and see if you can locate a service manual for what you want to fix. If,as you say you're willing to get your hands dirty, that may be the way to go. I don't know if Chilton or Clymer publications have anything specific for what you have or you might want to go to the dealership and have them order one in for you.. OEM's are kinda pricey but that is what I've had to do ..
