Default Winefred lake

Hey guys.
Looking for some advice on when best to fish Winefred. I'm thinking as close to ice off as possible, like maybe first week in June.
Thoughts?

Anyone know if it's possible to boat from winefred to grist?
Heading there on weds. Looks like rain in the forecast I suspect the road to be bad if we're to drive from Paul's.

Cheers

It is not possible to boat to Grist from Winifred you would have to take the goat trail of a road into Grist. It's not like the fishing is great at Grist anyways just some really finicky lake trout.

as far as guest communication goes with email and phone calls they suck. Really suck!!! BUT......if you are lucky enough to book, they sure do treat you good once your there. Food is amazing, boat guys to a great job, and as we all the the fishing, oh the fishing.

Man up and do it yourself... I cannot fathom that people pay the lodge what they ask. You can go to FAR greater fisheries across Canada for what Winefred Lodge asks for... and its not like this place is a fly in...
