Default 6 men charged with illegal outfitting near Battlefords, Sask.

Businesses based on Red Pheasant First Nation

Six men have been charged with illegal hunting and outfitting after a year-long investigation near North Battleford, Sask.
Officials with the province's environment ministry say undercover officers from the United States booked hunts with an outfitting business called Rezz Raxx — based on the Red Pheasant First Nation. The investigation was started in response to concerns about increased illegal hunting practices in the area
The undercover operation resulted in a slew of charges against the six men, from illegal outfitting to use of a search light.
Together, they face more than $55,000 in fines.
The men are also prohibited from hunting anywhere but on their own First Nation — and only for their own food.

For a small rez there seems to be a lot of crime, some familiar names from the other area news

Three of them were convicted of driving without a license, so taking away their operators licenses didn't stop them from driving. As such, I doubt that fining them will stop their illegal outfitting/hunting.

I don't really want him to comment.......

It cannot be discussed enough.

Blatant hypocrisy like this shouldn't be left alone until it is made right.

Unfortunately both you and I know there is not a rock hard enough to beat ones head against to make this issue go away. Sad.

Been going on for decades. FN are only ones allowed to guide yanks below nipawin area(another 150 miles north). They can charge a premium for a farmland hunt with promises of huge deer. 55k Is about the profit for a couple weeks. They'll be back at it. Hasn't stopped them In the past.

Other then raising continued tensions why else would one post an article thats old news and already been discussed here?

The article is literally a year and a half old. Is this what we should expect from people here?
