Hey Buck. Hows the whitefish at the park? How far out from the parking lot is it? I have only fished the island by the cemetary but it's to far to walk so the sled is a must. Maybe I will give the provincial park a try if it's worth it for whitefish

I usually go out about 200yrds from the boat launch or 8 to 10fow.I havnt been to pigeon for a month so i am not sure how the whitefish action is.Another member on here sent me a message that there is lots of flood water, but i assume the flood water isnt close to the boat launch.

Gull is nasty in spots....we were on at Wilsons Tueday.....bring high top rubber boots and snow shoes.....and leave the snowmobile at home.
There are places with 12inches of flood water and the snow turns to a slushy quite quick under a snowmobles weight and track......really ugly real fast.

As to the fishing.....Saturday was really good....Tues was very slow....they would come in very skitish and vear away from the hook at the last minute or ignore it altogether......we stayed from 7 to 7 and there was only 7 whites taken by the four of us.

Default Gull update

Went this morning at Sunset for 3 hours. No flood ice at all. Sled made it easy. Most guys walked out. One truck full of young guys decided to drive out. They made it about 100 ft and spent the next hour digging out.
Got three whites, loss three, saw about 4 more. Kept 3 perch, let a few more go.
Just finished cedar plank white fish with garlic and spices for the first time, wasn't bad at all !!
Went for a sled ride south and talked to a few guys, they say Brownlows is terrible for flood ice. I saw a guy on a quad with tracks get stuck for a little bit.
