Default So my wife impressed me today.

Went out to the range today with the wife to practise our 3d shooting before the season begins. We set them up between 30 and 54 yards. This was her shot at 54 yards and she did 3 heart shots in a row like this. I think shes ready haha

Nice job! 54 yards is good shot to do with 3 in a row.

Awesome!!! Now get her In front of an animal and watch the fever set it and the shakes start! Haha! I mastered my shots quite quick then have been working on being able to control the fever ever since I'd say in my experience that's the hardest part and being able to make proper decisions with full on fever kicked in.. It's tough. If she's a newbie start her off with gophers and rabbits and then a doe.. Then move to the antlered beasts!

haven't hunted or shot with many women, have you?
i can't explain it, but every female or minor, (1rst time shooters), that i have helped get going in the hunting/shooting world learned very fast and didn't seem to get flustered at 'crunch time' any where close to many seasoned hunters i know.
i think it's because the 'ignorance is bliss' phobia, newbies tend not to overthink things, and woman seem to focus harder on the task at hand.
my two cents, as qwert would say, (after every friggin post) ymmv, lee

54 yards? That sounds like a long way! Well deserving of an 'Addagirl'!

Wouldn't get mouthy with her, let an arrow go at 54 yards and hit where she was aiming imagine if she flung a well aimed shoe at your head
