Default mounting DownRiggers on Lund

bought a couple nice Scotty downriggers off RiggDogg and now I got to mount them on my 08 Lund ProV 1700, don't want to drill holes in my boat so I'm thinking of buying a couple of Scotty mount 1015 or 1025's and modifying a couple SportTrac brackets to hold the mounts

any opinions or other ideas ?

They didn't make a 1700 ProV in 2008. They made a 1775 proV back in 2005.

For 2008 it could be a 1700 Pro Sport, otherwise the smallest proV for 2008 was the 1800.

For downriggers the best option is still usually mounting right to the guwhale, primarily the sport track is intended for fish finders, rod holders and cup holders. Although downrigger brackets are avail. on nearly all models, mounting directly to the gunwhale, better secures (what could be a $1000.00 downrigger) with a little more peace of mind.

Thanks,
Mark
