Hi. Two community halls in my area have recently received letters from our provincial government stipulating new lease requirements to be in place; effective 90 days from letter.
1) Digital survey @ $5-7k (approximately 1/3 of last years operating budget)
2) Deposit for future land reclamation (roughly same figure as above) - or purchase the land
The letter was sent about two months after previous lease terms had expired.
Our council man was already dealing with issues from another hall, so he'll be going to bat for us also.
I was curious if this is being publicized as an issue in anyone's community
