The federal government routinely fails to find...what they do not want you to know they have.

Been through that personally.

Trust me... that route will only prove something if they screw up and accidentally give it to you.

Besides... they probably have no idea how many individual officers might have decided to simply make a disc copy or an external HD copy... just in case they needed it when the computers were down or for some other reason.

How big could it be?
I'd imagine that the whole registry could fit onto a couple discs.
