Default Young shooter graduation

Well the youngest recently turned 8, only have 4 years to get him ready for big game hunting. Had a youth model Rem 700 Lefty so decided to brake it and do some work since the boys complain I only work on my own guns. Rainy day off so threaded muzzle, installed brake (tad too much recoil without it yet), lapped lugs, bedded and did him up a little "bolt knob" Looks like deer dead meat at 200m.

Heres the bolt

Is that muzzle break aluminum or steel? Would Look pretty slick anodized (Aluminum) or Nitrided (Steel) black

Hey sky top, sometimes I wish you were my Dad and I'm almost 50. Oh your boy is going to have to trim them black bushy eye brows of his or he will never be able to see in the scope. Lol.

Its cm steel, will blue or paint it, just wanted to have it ready before school was out today as its my last day off. Really wanted to surprise him, his first time shooting centerfire, been shooting 22 since he was 4, he has better form that most adults I know , next set off i want to get him out to 400m

Thanks guys, I am pumped to have 2 full time shooting buddies and a truckload of steel to let them hammer on!!! That sound of lead on steel is the best sound in the world!

Very nice, and by the way he is one heck of a shot seeing as he has no eyes. He's a lucky boy, some serious Dad points for you
