Default Mixing powder, different lots

I thought I saw a thread on this a while back but I was unable to locate it with the search function. So I have 2 lbs of imr4320, but different lots. Is it safe to mix them together? And would it give me the consistantcy of one lot?
Thanks
Brian

I am not 100% sure but I think it would be ok to do it.

Default That may be my post

You may be thinking of my post as I asked the same question about 6 months ago. The answer was yes it is fine to do so. When mixed you would treat it as a lot of its own and build your load from there.

Smile I'm very cheap...

I throw nothing away, so when I'm almost out I buy more mix them up and keep on trucking.

By the way does any one know where I can buy Varget and/or Benchmark. Neither Natchez or Midway has any.

Higginson Powders lists Benchmark as in stock today. No Varget

I think The Shooters Edge in Calgary has Benchmark in stock, but not Varget.

I think most of us do.

I suppose it depends on what kind of accuracy you are trying to achieve.

Average shooting and hunting or for long range applications?

I would imagine that subtle differences must exist between batches that could impact on accuracy over distance but I never noticed any difference between lots when loading for the distances that I typically shoot at which are 400 meters or less.
