The owners of the store in Cardston would have a pretty strong case for libel against this journalist. If you can’t see that, I don’t know what to say.
I deal with ALERT regularly...their allegations are pretty strong.

I don't doubt it.

But the article is insinuating that the Cardston store was a stop-n-go for illegal firearms purchasers.

It may not have been...but though I can't go into specifics, it definitely wasn't a case of letting someone they know buy something without showing their PAL, as has been theorized.
All I'll say is it's somewhere in between.

Agree.

Stealing a gun, and many other crimes for that matter, need to be punished far more consequentially.

Imagine if we had mandatory life without parole sentences for things like rape, and up to and including violent gun crimes and stuff like that.

Takes these criminals off the street for good. Nobody else needs to get hurt. Ever again.

It would be better for us who support firearms ownership.

Less bad press is better.

Watch the t.v. show live police reports from the states. Lots of cars they stop the owners have firearms, some legal some not. It also amazes me that lots of cars they stop have some form of drugs in them. Once we legalize maryjane the police will be so busy with drug problems they will not have time to worry about other problems

Too bad we couldn’t get law enforcement to pose as rural home owners.

From the radio reports here it sounded like the RCMP bought ammo ( without showing PAL) from the dealer....Maybe there is more to this story but that is what was on the news...
