Thanks, Dace.
Yeah, it's nice to know that catch & release works, isn't it?
As for the worm, I don't think I've ever thrown a nymph rig in the Bow without some sort of worm in the mix; it just works. The best worms, of course, are worms that a friend gives you; good karma is better than live bait! (Thanks again!)

Nah, live bait is always better When all else fails, the red worm generally works.

That first brown was just down that little hill from your house.
Of course, he was about 8" shorter than the browns you catch...

I sure caught my share of fish from the Bow on big ol' dew worms, back in the days when that was legal & I was struggling to catch them any other way.

Shouldn't you be on the river right now? It's gorgeous out there!
I broke my big toe yesterday, playing a ball tourney. Supposed to keep it cold for a few days to keep the inflammation down; the river water is pretty cold, right?

I'll bet they worked; they sure did back when I used to chuck 'em.

Yeah, i'm heading there shortly, had to get my fill of coffee and hack the old cold crap out of my lungs. Better late than never.

Ouch on the toe, i've broken toes more than I can count. Walk it off Steve, walk it off, cold waters of the bow will really help - tho that big hill will be a bitch to climb for ya!

First of all, I've got to get the mental image you painted in that first sentence out of my head...

I think I'd have to walk backwards up the hill to keep my weight off that toe; could be very interesting...

Well, if you're up for getting out again, lemme know. Don't care what time of day, wee early or evening, doesn't matter.

I really don't get it.
Whether you agree with the "no barbs" regs or not, is it really worth risking the fine? I think not...

Found them on the island by your pic of the graffiti pics you posted. the CD9 had no front hooks but had a circle hook barbed on it and found a PM on the trail walking back with line and with barbs still on it. Guessing all this nice weather we were having had something to do with all this.
