Default Where to go by RMH?

Ok, so I’m heading to RMH for a fly fishing course this weekend. I’m going to head down early on Friday for a day of fishing at a lake before the course gets going and spending the weekend in Stauffer. I need to be near Caroline by supper time, so I want to be in the vicinity (within an hour or so).

I fish from a canoe with an electric motor, so I can access any lake.

I’m thinking of maybe heading to Swan Lake or Phyllis Lake for the day. Any thoughts on what might be better?

Any other suggestions?

Thanks
Ace

Go towards Nordegg, Jackfish Lake, north side of the hwy. Pike & big Perch.
Although I've not fished it since the 80s........

If you find the right spots to wade in goldeye, and there are quite a few of them, you dont sink at all..good wading there. And your right, you gotta weed thru the stockers to get to the big guys, and they are in there!

I'm going to be meeting up with some friends around noon'ish, and they don't have a boat. Is the shore/dock fishing at Beaver ok?

Thanks
