Default Homemade tilt assist?

I have 14ft princecraft boat with 25hp evinrude ss etec 2017 model. Problem is, it is manual tilt and very difficult for me to lift. I have searched internet but cannot find a solution. Anyone with any ideas?

Very difficult as in you are not strong enough to lift it or as in you think there is something wrong with it? My first recommendation would be to play with it and check for binding components and make sure it is oiled/greased up and operates smoothly.

If it is just too heavy/awkward then making some sort of lever arm that sticks up that you can pull back on would help you flip it up. If you don't want the arm sticking up permanently figure out a way to attach a pocket and then use a removable bar to flip the motor up and then you can store the bar out of the way when on the water etc.

Yes it is too heavy for me, have a bad shoulder. Realized too late after purchase that no power trim and tilt on a short shaft motor. Trying to figure out an assist method.t

There is also this powered option that gives you tilt plus trim.

Another option for sure, have to do some research and see if it would work w/o drilling more transom holes.
