Default lakes around edmonton

hi guys im new to this area of the province and need to go blow some steam off on the next coupple of weekends. at nait taking an aprentership course. looking for any good lakes that donot require a boat that can be fished from shore around edmonton in a 2 hour 1 way radius. looking more for a place that is not the most popular but offers decent fishing or the chance of catching fish at least. no prefference to the species either. if donot feel good posting it here just email me if you would like.

beaumont pond will find you a handfull of rainbow trout, nothing big, but fun to catch. People have have been catching out at Cardiff as well. same story, small trout, but also some perch.

Might want to give the NSR a try if it ever clears up, look for creek mouths, storm drainages, back eddies, and bends in the river...............
