I put one on my 16' 74" beam Mirrocraft boat a few years back, and it's awesome. As far as casting, it makes it a little more difficult, but not impossible! It's not to bad for casting out of the back. I put my top a little farther back to provide more shade throughout the day. Its stable, and does not move around much when zipping around at full throttle. As an added bonus, I used a couple of tye-raps to fashion a loop, and run the rods, and fishnet through them, helps free up some space.
Mine is a Attwood bimini 3 bow, top. If you call Darryl Boe @ Europa Canopy And Marine in Edmonton, he can fix you up with one. They have a website also
europacanopy.com you can see the bimini tops there, under accessories, etc
The second pic, shows the shade at around 2:30 in the afternoon, during a sizzling hot 32*C August day, with lots of shade from the canopy.
Hope this helps you a bit!
