Default <<<<<<<Fishing in Yellowknife Area>>>>>>

Hi Guys,

I am heading up to Yellowknife for work. I hope not to work too much but I will have to visit some customers.

I want to try to get some fishing in for some Pike or Lake Trout. I have suitable gear I can bring that should work.

I was hoping someone on here from up there might be able to get me some advice on some accessible locations to shore fish.

If someone could show me some locations or if you have a boat and plan to be going out fishing and need someone to pay for the fuel/bait etc. I would love to tag along if you might have room.

I am going to google and see what I find otherwise but if anyone can help please respond or send me a PM.

Much appreciated

I live up there for a year. Dad came up and visited for a weekend and we took a guide. He literally ran us 10 minutes from his dock to a weedbed (he said any weedbed is good) and it was just fish after fish after fish for a while, in about 2-5 feet of water. On flies. Other then that, i fished cam(kam)? lake which is in town, with some spoons, and caught some small pike. Nothing huge though. Check out con mine access to the lake, i caught a lot of pike out of there. Again nothing of any size but it was fun.

These are the guys we were catching on the boat with our guide.

two different fish.

If you can somehow manage to get a boat i recommend it.
