Killer day on the ice for some big whites!! ( pics)

Decided to head out to and do some more fishing for whites during the week and hit the lake on the perfect day!... Before even finishing setting up I had already landed and released one pig and once setup I had schools of 3+ whites at a time coming in non stop, they were big and very aggressive. Ended up seeing 50+ Whites by the end of the day and landed over a dozen all over 5.5lbs, kept two for dinner the bottom fishing being 5lbs 8oz and the top fish was 8lbs 9oz and 24.5"s long!

Congrats on those impressive whites! What lures/bait do you use for whites? Only way I've ever caught them is with a San Juan worm.

I get almost all of mine on just Wireworms no bait. Sometimes gold or silver spoons.

How do you present your wire worms? Sit near the bottom? Jigging? My success has only been on rivers for whites floating SJW's across the bottom.

I fish the entire water column but most of mine are caught 1/2 to 3/4 of the way down... literally catch lots even a foot or two below the ice tho.

so how do you tie it on horizontal???? there has to be a specific way ... I have yet to catch the elusive white and would like to target them....

Congrats! Do you jig aggressively or slow?. I've heard stop jig when fish come, is this right?
