Default Back in the Saddle: Wabamun Aug 10

This summer has been rather eventful for me. I have not been out fishing like typical years due to an unforeseen medical event that occurred in June. That being said, today was only my second fishing outing since June 18th and both those outings happened this week.

I ventured over to Wabamun to try for pike and generally just enjoy the weather and being out on the lake. Arrived around 10 and left around 300. I caught around 20 pike with the biggest being just under 11 lbs which I caught in 5 feet of water on a Clackin Rap. I have attached some photos but please realize these were taking with my iPhone 3GS by myself while trying to get the fish to cooperate.

Biggest pike of the day. Scale showed 10lbs 15 ounces. No length taken.

Scale shot to verify weight. LOL

Smallest Pike of the day. Caught not 5 minutes after the biggest pike of the day. All pike today were caught on that Clackin Rap.

I realize my report pales in comparison to most others but just felt so good to be back out fishing that I had to post.
